Xiaomi today introduced the high-performance mid-range smartphone Redmi Turbo 3 in China, which became the first device in the new Turbo series.
Redmi Turbo 3 is built on the latest sub-flagship platform Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 from Qualcomm and is equipped with an advanced Ice Cooling system. The device is equipped with up to 16 GB of LPPDDR5x RAM and a UFS 4.0 flash drive with a capacity of up to 1 TB.
The smartphone has a 6.67-inch flat 120Hz OLED display with thin bezels, providing a resolution of 2712×1220 pixels (1.5K), typical brightness of 500 nits and peak brightness of 2400 nits. The screen is capable of displaying 68.7 billion colors and has a color accuracy of Delta < 1. Also worth noting is Xiaomi Qingshan Eye Protection technology and support for HDR10+. At the top of the panel is a 20-megapixel camera.
The rear camera of the smartphone includes a 50 MP Sony LYT-600 main sensor with optical stabilization and an 8 MP IMX355 wide-angle module.
The device is equipped with stereo speakers, an NFC chip for contactless payments, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, an under-screen fingerprint scanner and has IP64 housing protection.
Power supply is provided by a 5000 mAh battery that supports 90-watt wired charging. The working environment is the proprietary HyperOS shell based on the Android 14 operating system. The thickness of the Redmi Turbo 3 body is only 7.8 mm and the weight is 179 grams.
Redmi Turbo 3 will be available in light green, light brown and black colors priced at $276 for the 12GB+256GB version, 12GB+512GB variant is priced at $317, 16GB+512GB costs $345. The top version of the smartphone with 16 GB + 1 TB is priced by the manufacturer at $386.
